Also known as: Vitamin B7, Vitamin H

Biotin (vitamin B7) is a water-soluble B vitamin involved in fatty acid synthesis and cell proliferation. In skincare it is used in hair and nail products for its role in keratin production. Topical biotin has limited evidence for skin benefits compared to oral supplementation. Most commonly used in shampoos, conditioners, and nail strengtheners.
