Also known as: Tocopherol

Vitamin E (tocopherol) is a fat-soluble antioxidant that protects cell membranes from oxidative damage. In skincare, it is used to protect formulations from oxidation and to provide antioxidant protection to the skin. Synergistic with vitamin C — the combination is more effective than either alone. At higher concentrations, it can be comedogenic.
