Also known as: Carbopol, Polyacrylic Acid

Carbomer is a synthetic polymer of acrylic acid used as a thickener and gelling agent. It creates clear, stable gels when neutralised with a base such as sodium hydroxide. Widely used in serums, gels, and lightweight moisturisers. Provides excellent texture and stability without affecting the activity of other ingredients. Non-comedogenic and well-tolerated.
