Ceramide AP

Ceramide AP

Also known as: Ceramide 6-II

Ceramide AP (ceramide 6-II) is a key component of the skin's lipid barrier. It works alongside ceramide NP and ceramide EOP to form the lamellar bodies that seal the stratum corneum. Clinical studies show that a combination of ceramide NP, AP, and EOP with cholesterol and fatty acids most effectively restores barrier function in compromised skin.
