Lecithin is a phospholipid complex derived from soy, sunflower, or egg yolk. It is a natural emulsifier that forms liposomes, enhancing the delivery of active ingredients into the skin. It also has skin conditioning properties and is structurally similar to cell membrane phospholipids, improving biocompatibility. Sunflower lecithin is preferred for those with soy allergies.
