Retinyl Palmitate

Retinyl Palmitate

Also known as: Vitamin A Palmitate

Retinyl palmitate is an ester of retinol and palmitic acid. It is the most stable and least irritating retinoid, requiring multiple conversion steps to become retinoic acid. This makes it gentler but also less potent than retinol. Suitable for retinoid beginners and sensitive skin. Often used in eye creams and daily moisturisers where minimal irritation is required.
