Zinc PCA

Also known as: Zinc Pyrrolidone Carboxylate

Zinc PCA is the zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid. It regulates sebum production by inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase activity, reducing the conversion of testosterone to DHT in sebaceous glands. It also has antimicrobial properties against acne-causing bacteria. Used in serums and moisturisers targeting oily and acne-prone skin.
